How are 729 Design & Prints products manufactured?

All of our products are manufactured using 3D (FDM - fused deposition modeling) Printing. This process is a widely utilized additive manufacturing technology. It operates on the principle of layer-by-layer material deposition to construct three-dimensional objects.

Why do 729DP products have "lines" on the top surface?

This is a very common question among people who might not necessarily be familiar with 3D printing and it's manufacturing process.

3D FDM printing, or Fused Deposition Modeling, is a way to create three-dimensional objects layer by layer. Here’s a simple breakdown:

How It Works:

Material: We use plastic filament, like a spool of thread.

Heating: This filament is fed into a machine that heats it up until it melts.

Printing: The melted plastic is then carefully squeezed out through a tiny nozzle, and it’s laid down on a build plate in thin layers.

Building the Object:

The machine follows a digital design and builds up the object layer by layer. Each new layer sticks to the one below it as it cools and hardens.

Surface Appearance:

Layer Lines: You might see lines on the surface of the object. These are just the layers of plastic that were added one by one.

Top Surface: The top surface may look a bit different, but it’s all part of how the object is built.

Overall, FDM printing is great for making durable and custom objects, and those layer lines are a normal part of the process.

Can 3D printed items be left exposed to the sun?

While no immediate damage will occur to the item, extended exposure of materials like (Polylactic Acid) to heat and ultraviolet rays may compromise the integrity of the item. It could potentially cause the item to lose its shape if left exposed for too long (More tham 24 hrs). Please remember these products are manufactured with plastic materials and are mostly subject to certain heat parameters.

We recommend to not leave our products exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time (4 or more hours).

Do you offer free shipping?

Currently, we have free standard economy shipping available for SOME (Some items might be too large and or heavy and might not qualify for free shipping) orders $30 and above only for shipping addresses in Puerto Rico. Expedite shipping or priority shipping IS NOT free/included even on orders $30 and above. These all carry an additional cost.

We do provide international shipping on some items and only to certain countries at an additional cost.
